VIEW Magazine suspends printing until Covid-19 is defeated

While we are on hiatus we encourage everyone to exercise patience, be kind, and heed the directive to stay home. We look forward to serving you again.

When It was announced on Tuesday that all non-essential business were being shut down in Ontario, we assumed that would include us. We know the importance of media, but with the focus of View Magazine being on everything to do in Greater Hamilton we realized that while there's not a lot going on it certainly isn't essential that we print View at this time. Picking up our paper requires you to go out so we thought it would be irresponsible to encourage that behaviour. We think the more that you can stay home the more that it will be possible to “flatten the curve”.

So this week on our website,  we have focused on creating an extensive list of local restaurants who are providing take-out and delivery service in an effort to keep their staff employed and provide the community with food choices. We expect that this list is not comprehensive but we have tried to be thorough. If you know of an establishment who should be included, or one that is now closed, please email calendar@viewmag.com and we will strive to keep the list updated on our website. We encourage all those who are able to spend some of their food budget with these businesses to do so. Do it safely, pay online and use curbside pick up or porch delivery.

We are going to continue to update our website in order to keep you in the loop and it's something that we can do from the safety of our homes.
